Home of many events' The Castle Square is located in front of Breda Castle and close to the city park Valkenberg. The Castle Square is used for a number of events such as the Breda Jazz Festival, Breda Barst, the free market on Queen's Day and the Breda Singelloop. Along the Kasteelplein is, among others, the old HBS, nowadays the restored Queen Wilhelmina Pavilion of the Royal Military Academy (KMA) and the Prince Bernard Pavilion. There is also the former Gouvernementshuis (Government House). In the middle of the side street is the bronze Monument of Stadholder William III of Orange-Nassau on horseback, one of the Lords of Breda.
