Mantra
Een stukje natuur in de vorm van een mural. Van boven naar beneden zie je een dagpauwoog, distelvlinder en (tijm)blauwtje. Deze vlinders zijn gekozen omdat ze terug te vinden zijn als straatnamen in de wijk. De 20 meter hoge schildering is gemaakt door Mantra. Hij werkte (maar) vier dagen non stop aan de schildering. Hij hield zelfs rekening met de zon. De slagschaduw correspondeert met de zon zoals die ’s middags aan de hemel staat. Met trots kan Breda zeggen dat de stad in bezit is van de grootste insectendoos van Nederland! Read more
A piece of nature in the form of a mural. From top to bottom you see a peacock, thistle butterfly and large blue. These butterflies were chosen because they can be found as street names in the neighbourhood.
The 20 meter high painting was made by Mantra. He worked on the painting not stop for (only) four days. He even took the sun into account. The cast shadow corresponds to the sun as it appears in the sky at noon.
With pride Breda can say that the city is in possession of the largest insect box of the Netherlands!
