STUDIO OCTOVIDU
Studio Octovidu liet zich inspireren door de carrière van Jan Ingenhousz. Ingenhousz is waarschijnlijk wereldwijd de meeste bekende Bredanaar. Hij was arts, chemicus en plantkundige. In 1799 deed Jan zijn grootste ontdekking. Hij toonde als eerste wetenschapper aan dat groene planten d.m.v. zonlicht koolstofdioxide uit de lucht absorberen en dit omzetten in zuurstof, oftewel fotosynthese. Read more
Studio Octovidu was inspired by the career of Jan Ingenhousz. Ingenhousz is probably the most famous Breda resident worldwide. He was a physician, chemist and botanist.
In 1799 Jan made his greatest discovery. He was the first scientist to show that green plants absorb carbon dioxide from the air by means of sunlight and convert it into oxygen, i.e. photosynthesis.
